About Us
About Good To Go®
Good To Go® was founded by a former Infantry Officer who brought military discipline into performance gear and headwear.
We exist to give people, teams, and businesses a direct way to design and order custom headwear, backed by a long-time, trusted manufacturing partner rather than a faceless overseas supplier. Every custom hat ordered through our builder is produced through that relationship, built over years, not found through a catalogue.

Giving &Sponsorship
MoreThan Gear. Backing People Who Need It.
Good To Go® exists for more than product. Part of what we do is built around giving back, and backing the people the industry tends to overlook.
Global Giving
We support an orphanage in Uganda that runs a boxing program for its youth. Through direct cash donations, we help give these young people structure, discipline, and a place to belong, the same values this brand was built on.

How Your Purchase Powers a Fighter’s Journey
From the Battlefield to the Gym Floor
GTG was born from real grit. Founded by a former Australian Infantry Officer, we fuse military-grade discipline with elite performance gear. This isn’t fashion. It’s function forged from the battlefield—made for those who never back down.

Earned, Not Given. Gear That Shows What You’re Made Of.
Whether you're in the ring, on the field, or grinding through daily battles—GTG gear is built for those who don’t just train, they commit. Designed with elite athletes and forged from real-world resilience, every piece reflects purpose, power, and pride.
The GTG Process
Step-By-Step Guide
STEP 1 - Confirm your commitment, To yourself!
You should constantly be confirming your commitment to your respective discipline. It is recommended to write these down as you move through the questions to self assess your own motivations. Confirming your commitment should be conducted by asking yourself the following questions:
- Why do I participate in this sport or activity? Understanding the underlying motivation for participating in a particular sport can help athletes reaffirm their commitment to it.
- How important is this activity to me? Athletes need to assess how much of a priority their sport is in their lives, and whether they are willing to make the necessary sacrifices to continue pursuing it.
- Am I willing to put in the necessary work to improve? Commitment requires dedication and hard work. Athletes should ask themselves whether they are willing to put in the effort to continually improve their skills and abilities.
- Do I have a long-term plan for my sport? Having a clear plan for the future can help athletes stay committed to their sport. They should ask themselves whether they have set realistic goals and developed a plan to achieve them.
- How do I handle setbacks and failures? Setbacks and failures are inevitable in any sport. Athletes should assess how they respond to these challenges and whether they are able to maintain their commitment to their sport despite setbacks. This is important because: It builds resilience: When athletes face setbacks and failures and are able to overcome them, it builds their resilience and mental toughness. This mental strength will help them to persevere through future challenges. It helps athletes learn from their mistakes: Setbacks and failures offer an opportunity for athletes to reflect on their performance and identify areas where they can improve. By learning from their mistakes, athletes can make adjustments to their training and strategy that will help them perform better in the future. It keeps athletes motivated: When athletes are able to overcome setbacks and failures, it can boost their motivation and drive to succeed. This can help them to stay committed to their sport and to continue to work hard towards their goals.
Now you have to ask yourself the same questions with regards to seeking this co-branding opportunity with GTG Gear. These questions will be considered when you apply, so please take notes.
- Why am I seeking this branding partnership? Understanding you motivation for seeking out GTG Gear specifically will assist you in understanding if it is a good fit for you personally.
- How important is this sponsorship to me? You will need to understand that there are people that will wish to say, "I had a go", because they want a story to tell themselves and others how they 'attempted' something. We want people that are not just attempting. We want warriors in their respective fields that only aim for dominance, that pick themselves up and dust themselves off, but most importantly, back themselves when the chips are down.
- Am I willing to put in the necessary work? Commitment requires dedication and hard work. We reduce a lot of the friction involved with sponsorship including: sourcing, manufacturing, supply, storage and post, etc. We cannot replicate YOUR requirements to be: active in growing your brand, building your networks, being specific on what your design requirements are for your product(s), providing the appropriate information to tell your story, providing high-quality content including photos to demonstrate your skillset, etc. We want you to understand that this is YOUR brand that we are helping to build.
- Do I have a long-term plan for my sponsorship? In many cases we see this as a great entry point for athletes to start the dialogue with much larger sponsors and GTG will always seek to pair corporate entities and make introductions as appropriate. You have put in the work and you have a story to tell, so identify a high-end sponsor that you would like to work with in the future, and start building your persona as such.
- How do I handle setbacks and failures? How you handle these setbacks and failures in sport, will likely be how you face the same in life and in business. GTG is committed to assisting in achieving your branding and financial support goals, however you need to be active in your participation.
STEP 2 - Application Process
How it works:
We are aiming for long-term relationships with the people we partner with. We truly don't mind if you are just starting out, but you must be able to prove your commitment to us, so that we have a reciprocal relationship with you. We do act as a rough guide that an applicant should have at least 1k followers on social media, however if you are determined and can prove it, we are more than happy to help build with you along the way. On your journey with other sponsors this will also be the case and the fit between the two entities needs to ensure that both are getting something out of the relationship.
In the first instance we would ask that the following email be sent through our online form, so as to assess your application.
Dear GTG Gear Sponsorship Team,
I am [insert your name], a dedicated athlete in [insert your sport]. I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of securing a sponsorship with GTG Gear. I believe that I could be a valuable asset to your brand and that a partnership would be mutually beneficial.
- How long have you been competing in your sport and what accomplishments have you achieved?
- What is your current training regimen and what are your upcoming competition goals?
- How would a sponsorship with GTG Gear help you to achieve your goals and why GTG specifically as a brand partner? Feel free to identify financial goals or targets too. It's important to know how your funds will be used as that tells the story to your potential customers.
- What makes you stand out from other athletes in your sport and why do you think you would be a good fit for GTG Gear?
- How many social media followers do you have on each platform, and what is your engagement rate?
- How do you typically engage with your followers on social media, and what type of content do you usually share?
- How do you see yourself promoting GTG Gear on social media and beyond, and what unique ideas do you have for collaboration?
- Can you provide any examples of previous sponsorships or collaborations you have had with other brands?
- Are you willing to put in the work? (This means being active in growing/promoting your brand, building your networks, providing specific details on what your design requirements are for your product(s), providing the appropriate information to tell your story, providing high-quality content including photos to demonstrate your skill set, etc.)
Thank you for considering my application for sponsorship with GTG Gear. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my application further and explore how we could work together.
Sincerely, [Insert your name]

STEP 3 - Application Review
How it works:
- Initial Application Review:
The initial application review is the first stage of the sponsorship review process. It typically involves a review of the athlete's initial application, which may include a resume, cover letter, or application form. During this stage, the sponsorship team will evaluate the athlete's basic eligibility for sponsorship based on a set of criteria that are specific to the brand and the sport. This may include:
- The athlete's level of achievement in their sport
- The athlete's potential for future success
- The athlete's alignment with the values and mission of the brand
- The athlete's current sponsorship and endorsement relationships
- The athlete's reputation and public image
If the athlete meets the initial criteria, they will move on to the next stage of the review process.
- Further Evaluation:
The further evaluation stage is a more in-depth assessment of the athlete's potential as a brand ambassador. It typically involves a more detailed review of the athlete's performance, social media presence, and any additional materials provided by the athlete. During this stage, the sponsorship team may:
- Review the athlete's social media profiles to evaluate their reach, engagement, and content
- Interview the athlete to get a better understanding of their background, goals, and personality
- Review any additional materials provided by the athlete, such as video footage of their performance, testimonials from coaches or teammates, or examples of previous sponsorships or collaborations
- Evaluate the athlete's fit with the brand based on factors such as personality, values, and style
The further evaluation stage is designed to help the sponsorship team make a more informed decision about whether the athlete is a good fit for the brand and whether the partnership is likely to be successful.
If the athlete passes the further evaluation stage, they will move on to the contract negotiation stage, where the terms of the sponsorship will be discussed and finalised.
STEP 4 - Acceptance / Recommendations
How it works:
If a member is successful in their application they will be advised by our sponsorship team directly.
- Contract Negotiation: If the athlete passes the initial evaluation and further evaluation stages, the sponsorship team may begin negotiating a sponsorship contract with the athlete. This may include discussing the terms of the sponsorship (such as the length of the partnership, the level of compensation, and any specific promotion or marketing activities the athlete will undertake), as well as the rights and responsibilities of both the athlete and the brand. The primary element of this agreement is agreement for the use of intellectual property by GTG Gear, on behalf of the Athlete to promote their
- Execution: Once the contract is finalised and signed, the athlete and the brand will begin working together on the agreed-upon promotion and marketing activities.
If you are not successful you will be advised of the reasons why, and areas of improvement to focus on prior to another application. We understand that this may not be a pleasant experience for some, however we will always ensure the receipt of such news is conducted in a professional and constructive manner so as to better inform you for future applications or alternate sponsorship.
STEP 5 - Execution
How it works:
- In the first instance for our new Athletes, we will always seek to run an initial limited edition product that is pre-sold to our communities. This is to prove the viability of the ongoing relationship and ensure that the most efficient means of production, logistics and sales is achieved. The benefit to the Athlete is low to nil outlays and no requirement to chase for payments. The Athlete, in tandem, will be responsible for the ongoing PR.
- Choosing a Product.
- Providing access to high-res images and videos
- Providing high-res logos.
- Developing a Marketing Plan:
Once the contract has been finalized, the athlete and the brand will work together to develop a marketing plan for the sponsorship. This may include creating social media posts, videos, or other content that promote the brand, as well as participating in events or other activities that raise the athlete's profile and increase exposure for the brand.
- Gear and Resources:
As part of the sponsorship, the brand may provide the athlete with gear and other resources to support their training and performance. This may include equipment, apparel, supplements, or other products that are relevant to the athlete's sport or training regimen.
- Promotion and Marketing:
Once the marketing plan has been developed, the athlete will begin promoting and marketing the brand through their social media channels, website, and other platforms. The athlete may also participate in events or other activities that raise awareness of the brand and its products.
- Ongoing Communication:
Throughout the sponsorship period, the Athlete and the brand will maintain ongoing communication to ensure that the partnership is successful. This may include regular check-ins, updates on marketing activities and performance, and feedback on how to improve the partnership.
Overall, the execution process for a co-branding sponsorship is designed to maximize the benefits for both the Athlete and the brand. By working together to develop a marketing plan and promoting the brand through various channels, the athlete can increase their exposure and reach new audiences, while the brand can increase its visibility and awareness in the market.
STEP 6 - Sample Production
How it works:
- Determine your product specifications: Before we start looking for suppliers to make samples, you should have a clear understanding of the exact specifications for your product, such as the dimensions, materials, colors, and any other important features. This includes the provision of any high res images needed of logos and / or designs that you require.
- Find & Contact potential suppliers: We take care of this on your behalf. If we decide to move forward there may be a nominal fee to provide these samples on your behalf.
- Produce Sample: Depending on item type, samples will normally take between 2-4 weeks to receive and evaluate.
- Evaluate samples: Once we receive the samples, we carefully evaluate them to ensure they meet your specifications and quality standards. This is also a good time to provide feedback to the supplier if any changes are needed.
- Negotiate and finalise production: After you have evaluated the samples, we negotiate with the supplier to finalise the production agreement. This should include details such as pricing, timelines, and quality control measures.
- Begin mass production: Initially we will look to do a 'Pre-Sale' on all new items. This means that we place a 2 week window on focussing our social media marketing to friends, family, social media networks to glean as many sales as possible for you. Once we have finalised the 'Pre-Sale', we begin mass production.
- Shipping. This is the beautiful part for our Athletes. All shipping will be conducted on behalf of the ambassador directly to the customer, with no time lost away from training, or having to hold stock that may or may not be sold into the future.
